Keegan & Lorrae are committed to sourcing their products as local, sustainable and ethically produced as possible.
The decision to purchase a butcher shop came following generations of farming. This had seen Keegan’s parents venture into processing and the delivery of whole carcasses to valued clients. This ensured animal welfare was upheld at all points of the business, it also put a stop to inferior product being substituted for quality Moselle lamb.
Keegan & Lorrae could see a shop front was the ultimate way forward in their vision to bring the excellence of Moselle Downs Lamb & Beef to the table in your home. From this vision grew the opportunity to give back to the community and to offer quality beef, lamb, goat, pork, chicken, small goods and artisan products.
Many hours of discussion went into the creation of “Moselle Meats”. Given Keegan’s strong ties to his family owned station Moselle Downs, just 25km East of Richmond it seemed fitting to honour this heritage. It was also a tribute to the hard work and dedication of his parents in creating the ultimate in eating quality which already is the famous “Moselle Lamb”.
We bring to you the very best in beef, lamb, chicken, pork, goat and small goods. We only eat the best. If we wouldn’t eat it; we won’t sell it.
The Nelson family have bred sheep & cattle in Western QLD for generations.

You will find all products sold at Moselle meats are sourced from quality local producers and small businesses. Everything from the homemade North Queensland pasta to the artisan chutneys and jams.

We’re located in Richmond, North West Queensland, Australia.
We will be closed on Friday 14 June for the Show Holiday.
Cloncurry deliveries will be Thursday 13 June.
